A new week begins with generally favorable beach conditions across much of Florida's Gulf Coast. Most destinations from Pensacola Beach through Marco Island continue offering enjoyable beach conditions, with low red tide activity and limited seaweed impacts.
The primary story today is Tropical Depression Two, which has formed in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. While the system is expected to remain well north of most of RTG's primary vacation destinations, it will be monitored closely because it may bring heavy rain, rougher surf, and increasing winds to portions of the Florida Panhandle and northern Gulf Coast.

Popular destinations including Destin, Clearwater Beach, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, Siesta Key, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Naples, and Marco Island continue experiencing generally favorable beach conditions.
East Coast
No significant red tide impacts are currently affecting Florida's Atlantic Coast.
