Red Tide Guard® was created to help answer that question.

RTG began as a red tide monitoring resource designed to help travelers better understand coastal conditions before their trip. Over time, it became clear that families needed more than red tide updates. They needed a simple way to understand what was happening at the beach and what those conditions could mean for their vacation.

Today, RTG is evolving into a Florida Gulf Coast Vacation Intelligence Platform built around a simple mission:

Red tide, sargassum, water quality, weather, and other coastal conditions can vary considerably from one destination to another. RTG brings that information together and puts it into everyday language—without technical jargon, sensationalism, or unnecessary alarm.

Everything we create is designed with families in mind, especially the parents who often take the lead in planning vacations. Whether they're considering Destin, Clearwater Beach, Anna Maria Island, Siesta Key, Sanibel Island, Naples, Marco Island, or another Gulf Coast destination, we want them to have a clearer understanding of what to expect.
