Gulf Coastal Conditions Overview
As another summer weekend continues, Florida's Gulf Coast remains in generally favorable condition for beach vacations. Most destinations from Pensacola Beach through Marco Island continue experiencing typical mid-July conditions, with warm Gulf waters, scattered afternoon thunderstorms, and no widespread environmental concerns affecting most beachgoers.
One area RTG continues monitoring is a weak area of low pressure expected to develop near the northeastern Gulf of Mexico early this week. While the system currently poses little concern for most Florida vacationers, we'll continue watching for any changes that could influence beach conditions.

Florida's latest monitoring continues to indicate low overall red tide activity across most monitored Gulf Coast beaches. No widespread bloom activity is currently affecting Florida's major vacation destinations, and respiratory irritation reports remain limited across most popular beach communities.
Popular destinations including Destin, Clearwater Beach, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, Siesta Key, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Naples, and Marco Island continue offering generally favorable beach conditions.
East Coast
No significant red tide impacts are currently affecting Florida's Atlantic Coast.
